The Least Among You

This is a movie based on a true story about racism in the 60's. Richard Kelly, a young intelligent black man, who was arrested during the 1965 Watts riots in Los Angeles, California. He would be able to avoid prison if he attended an all-white seminary. Kelly finds friendship and counsel in the "gardener in the basement" as Kelly describes Samuel Benton. I am confused as to what kind of seminary he attended. The thing is I really wanted to like this movie.  The stories of integration and racial reconciliation have so many characters and layers that I cannot help but be moved by a number of them.  But I can’t follow a film that lacks a driving story line and some connective tissue between the scenes, it seemed very choppy and I wonder if it was edited too much.  This is an inspiring movie that is not sugar coated.

Outlive Your Life - by Max Lucado

Max Lucado is a great author and he has written another wonderful book that challenges us to be active in our surroundings and to join in our community to be the best we can be. Whether you yourself is struggling or your neighbor is he is there to lift us up and remind us that we can do for ourselves and for others no matter what our aituation is. He reminds us that our goal is heaven but we have to live our life as the best we can be from earth. I am a book reviewer for booksneeze and I received this book free and I enjoyed it and hope that many people read it and enjoy it too.

Falling Away - By By T.L. Hines

At first I was not sure about this book. But after a few pages I felt like I knew the characters. They became my friends. I felt like I had a vested interest in them as real people. Quinn, an "embedder" who was homeless for years and whose mother disppeared became this girl that I was rooting for. Dylan is running from his past joins the military to fill a void in his life. It is a book that touches you spirit and makes you question things in your own life. It is a great book and I would recommend it to all. I received this book free to read and review and express my opinion.

The Long Way Home - Andrew Klavan

Andrew Klavan writes The Long Way Home in the first person serving to bring home the personal turmoil that the main character lives with. Charlie West, a 17 year old high schooler, who previously lived in a small town with his parents and sister, is on the run. He went to bed one night and woke up one year later accused of murdering his friend Alex and being a terrorist in an organization called "The Highlanders".

Charlie cannot remember what transpired duiring his lost year. He wonders if he really is a murderer and a terrorist. How can he prove his innocence and who is really behind all this? Was he framed, as his friends say, or did he really do these terrible things? Charlie returns to his home town, holing up in a vacant house called the "Ghost Mansion". He teams up with his friends Rick.Josh. Milner and his girlfriend Beth to discover the truth about the murder he can't remember and who is behind the Highlanders, a terrorist group.

A fun book for mystery readers. If you are new to this series, you must read the first book of the series to see what transpired in Charlie's life to bring him to the situation he finds himself in at the start of this book.
