Take Your Best Shot by Austin Gutwein w/Todd Hillard

It is definitely geared towards the younger generation. The author often talks directly to them, telling them that although they are young, they can make a difference. As an adult I too understand that I can make a difference too although we sometimes forget that. We are too concentrated on the day in and day out of our own lives that I think this is a good family read. I hope it challenges each person who reads it and changes how we all think. We are a community that can help each other in so many ways if only we seek out the possibilities.

Find Your Strongest life by Marcus Buckingham

Find Your Strongest life by Marcus Buckingham was a book that I felt had some great points but also had many low points. There are great points in this book for women everywhere. He says that moments matter most. They matter more than dreams, goals, values or relationships. He says that we need to focus on our strengths and pursue our strengths – well yes I already knew that. I feel that I would have opened my arms wider for this book if it had been written by a woman. How does he know what it is like to walk in a woman’s shoes. He doesn’t know firsthand and that is why I would look for another book to read next time.
